Shuffle won’t play Audiobooks and podcasts

April 15th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in apple, gadgets, mac, podcasts, technology

When iPod shuffle is set to shuffle songs it will play all the audio files on iPod shuffle that are not audiobooks. Podcasts of type .m4b or AAC will not play on iPod shuffle when it is in shuffle mode, which is the intended behavior, although a podcast of type .mp3 or .wav may play while in shuffle mode.

To play an audiobook or podcast that is on iPod shuffle, set the switch on iPod shuffle to play in any order

My techncial (weekly) podcast listening

September 6th, 2006 | No Comments | Posted in podcasts

I keep on getting asked which podcasts I listen to, so i thought it a good idea to add a link to my favourites here. I listen to each of these on a weekly basis, this takes up all my communiting time, but it is time well spent. If you have time to only listen to one a week you should listen to This Week In Tech (TWIT). Inside the net, is an easy listen as a next best selection and then onto Security now and Floss weekly if your really a geek. On the java side you can’t beat the Javaposse the participants are Tor Norbye (Sun Microsystems), Carl Quinn (Google), Dick Wall (New Energy Associates), Joe Nuxoll (Apple).
